In 2005, the Venice High School Marching Indians lost a fellow band
student and friend, Valerie J. Moore, who is missed greatly. Memories
of fun times with Valerie and reflections on what was important to her
are passed from older band students to younger ones, and a lesson in
the value of life has been learned by all of us. Valerie made a
difference in the lives of those who knew her, and her enthusiasm for
band was obvious. A scholarship fund has been established in her
honor to help provide a college future for deserving Venice High band
students.
